GB Studio Walk Under Bridge System Template

This template and tutorial allows you to be able to make your Top Down RPG Character walk under or over a bridge in GB Studio.

Try the DEMO to have a feel of the system.

Press Start, use directional buttons to make your character walk around under the bridge. Walk to the left side and go up to the bridge so you can cross over to the right side. Open the chest. Walk back to the beginning and walk under the bridge once more.

Features (and reminders):

1. This is a basic Walk Under Bridge System Template that uses a Trigger.
2. The background image is optimized to allow sprite (Main Actor) to be displayed behind background layer.
3. I highly suggest to use "GB Studio White Floors" Color code: #e0f8cf and a bridge that uses black, dark green and light green. The greater the contrast between the floor and the bridge the better and will allow your Character to walk under the bridge smoothly.
4. PS. For the animation state that will switch your character to be able to walk under the bridge, you will need to create a copy of original spritesheet by making a new animation state and re-calibrate all animations of your character and click on "Display behind background layer". All of this will be inside the SPRITES section.

Limitations:

1. This system/template is only a basic system, different sizes of bridges will not work unless you adjust everything accordingly. This is merely a template that you can learn from so you can apply it to your own game.
2. After testing for several hours my previous 3.2 version had no issues. But after creating a 4.1.3 version sometimes errors occur (like it hangs when I place a dialogue and use capslock). Which resolves on it's own when application is restarted. But I suppose, GB Studio 4.1.3 isn't as stable?

Do as you wish with how this template works, you may tweak it, copy and apply it to different games. You may even change how the bridges look, the size and everything else just make sure to double check the sizes of everything and do trial and error and see what works best for you!

If you're having a hard time to make it work. Just copy everything to the dot then work from there :)
