GB Studio Digital Clock System Template
This template and tutorial allows you to have your own Digital Clock Counter System in GB Studio for displaying time in game. It is in Standard Time format with 10 minute per tick until it reaches 60 minutes then it will add into the hours.
The main feature of this template is the Clock Counter on the upper right of the in game screen. The sample environment, clock (to add hours) and change in color palette are all extra stuff for you to get the entire feel of this system.
Below are downloadable files that contain the Clock Counter template.
(Made in GB Studio 3.1)
Before you begin using this template I would like to give you a few reminders.
1. Make sure to incorporate the script before you start your game by "Call Script: Clock" inside a Loop so when your player loads in game it will start with the clock running. *This only applies if you've already created a game with new game/load game set up. Otherwise do as you please with this Digital Clock Counter System and feel free to just copy whatever is already in this template.
2. Do not forget to fix up the sprites of the Hours, Minutes and AM/PM if you are to use this system in a new project. *when templates get copied into new projects, the animation states/frames change
3. Do not forget to match player/actor and animation frames of Hours, Minutes and AM/PM if you are to use this system in a new project.
*when templates get copied into new projects, the animation states/frames change
4. Remember, the scene needs to have the Clock Counter. Not the actors. The actors will only have the "On Update" events.
5. Do as you wish with how the time works. The wait time per 10 minutes for this template is 3 seconds so you can see how the time changes faster. You may interact with the bouncing clock to add to the hours to speed up the system so you can see how it works.
*Purchasing this will help me build my very first RPG game called Avior's Adventures. It's about my son's journey into becoming a local hero within the community of The Nest City by completing quests. You can bike around, fight mosquitoes in a turn based battle system, and level up. It's based on real life people and places here in (El Nido, Palawan). Quests are true to life and overall just making it for fun.
Thanks for dropping by!
