GB Studio ENERGY Bar System Template

This template and tutorial allows you to be able to have an ENERGY Bar Indicator in GB Studio. 

Below are downloadable files that contain the ENERGY Bar System Template.

Try the DEMO to have a feel of the system.

Press Start, walk around to see the ENERGY Bar deplete. You may interact with the plants, to water them and clean the keyboard to speed up energy depletion. Try going outside to see the ENERGY Bar deplete even more. Once your ENERGY bar is almost empty, go to your bed and interact with it to replenish your ENERGY.

Features (and reminders):

1. This template provides a basic ENERGY Bar Indicator on the upper left corner of your screen.
2. Your ENERGY in this Template is a maximum of 10. You may change that (on the script section) depending on how much ENERGY you want your character to have.
3. You may recreate your own ENERGY Bar and just apply the sprite settings I have so you'll have your very own customized ENERGY Bar.
4. I have placed a limit on your ENERGY on this template. It cannot go over 10 and less than 0. (You may adjust it to your liking, again depending on how much HP you want for your character)
5. The scripts and formulas are readily made so you don't have to worry about that anymore. If you're a beginner and still learning. I suggest for you to tinker with the project and understand how everything works.

Limitations:

1. This ENERGY Bar is only affected by how long and far you walk around the map.
2. I placed a few items you can interact inside the room like the plants and the keyboard to speed up the energy bar depletion. Therefore you may also make your very own actions that deplete the ENERGY bar.

Do as you wish with how this template works, you may tweak it, copy and apply it to different kinds of ENERGY Bars or even place it in a different position, it may work on the lower right just like in Stardew Valley, you'll just need to tweak the art and make it vertical.

If you're having a hard time to make it work. Just copy everything to the dot then work from there :)
